What Versions of Intel and Visual Studio Are Compatible for Both PSCAD X4 and V5?
The standard recommendation for compatibility beween PSCAD X4 and V5 is to use any version of Intel 2015 (Version 15.0.7.287) or higher along with the compatible version of Visual Studio 2015 (Version 14) or higher.
However, it is not always possible to do so, due to some exceptions:
- If you need to run a pre-compiled model containing C-code, your compiling selection will be limited to using a version of Visual Studio compatible with the model. See Step 3 of this article for details.
- Visual Studio and PSCAD compatibility considerations (see Chart 2.a of the Compatibility Charts document for details). For example:
-PSCAD v4.6.0 and older is not compatible with Visual Studio 2015 and newer.
