PSCAD v5.0.0 Hot Fix 1
Overview
PSCAD v5.0.0 Hot Fix 1 is used to update to existing installations of PSCAD v5.0.0.0 and v5.0.0.1.
The updates in this hot fix are included in PSCAD v5.0.0 Update 2 (v5.0.0.2). Now that v5.0.0 Update 2 is released, it is recommended to jump straight to v5.0.0.2, or newer (contact our Sales Desk, ensuring to include your PSCAD license number).
This hot fix was created to add the capability to be able to use external Python scripting to control PSCAD 5.0.0. Running this hot fix will do the following:
- Install a CreateProductsList.bat file into the <PSCAD 5.0.0 Install directory>\Utilities folder.
- Run the installed batch file which will launch the previopusly installed FortranMedic utility and direct it to create the Products.xml file which is used by external Python scripting.
Setup Tips
- Ensure that PSCAD v5.0.0 is installed already.
- Log in to your MyCentre user account, and download the "PSCAD 500 x64 HotFix 1 Installer" from your "Downloads" tab.
Note - If this product is not available in your downloads, please contact our sales desk, ensuring to provide your PSCAD license number.
- Extract (unzip) the downloaded file, and save the file to a local directory (e.g. new temporary file on your desktop).
Note - Unzip the top folder only; do not unzip any subfolders.
Note - Do not unzip the files into the PSCAD 5.0.0 installation folder. - Right-click on the "Installer.exe" file, select "Run as administrator", then select OK when prompted by the Windows User Account Control.
- The Installer will launch. Select "OK" to confirm the installation:
- The installation will proceed.
- When the installation is complete, select "OK", and close the Installer.
