We hope you can join us at the 2026 PSCAD Indian Transmission System Operators Workshop in New Delhi!

As power systems continue to evolve with increasing penetration of inverter-based resources, Electromagnetic Transient (EMT) simulations play a critical role in ensuring system reliability, stability, and performance. This workshop brings together Transmission System Operators (TSOs) from across India to explore the latest advancements in PSCAD and the growing importance of EMT modelling in modern grid operations.

Over two days, participants will gain both foundational knowledge and practical insights through a combination of interactive sessions, expert presentations, and real-world case studies. Led by PSCAD specialists alongside leading Indian grid organizations, the workshop is designed to support the technical needs of TSOs managing increasingly complex power systems.

Key topics include:

  • Introduction to EMT simulations and their role in modern power systems
  • Hands-on sessions with PSCAD software
  • Real-world applications and PSCAD success stories
  • Dynamic frequency scanning techniques
  • Wide Area Network modelling and PRSIM applications
  • Plant performance testing and benchmarking
  • Traditional EMT studies, including insulation coordination

Event Agenda

The workshop will feature sessions delivered by PSCAD experts, along with contributions from Indian transmission operators. Attendees will have the opportunity to exchange experiences, discuss challenges, and explore practical solutions for large-scale system modelling and analysis.

By fostering collaboration between industry leaders and technical experts, this event aims to advance understanding of EMT modelling practices and support the continued development of reliable, future-ready power systems in India.
