This component measures 3-phase real and reactive power flow between two, specified 3-phase nodes in a circuit. The Node Loop component must be used to provide the required input to this component as follows:
NOTE: The purpose of the additional resistors above, is to simply allow for the meter to differentiate between two 3-phase nodes. Any series element can be used, including a Current Meter.
The Real/Reactive Power Meter measures instantaneous real power by multiplying the instantaneous voltage and current of each phase and then adding them together. The reactive power is calculated on the assumption that all three phases are balanced. The calculated reactive power is smoothed through a Real Pole function to simulate a transducer delay and to reduce output ripple.
Be sure to note the direction of power flow as indicated on the component graphic when analyzing the results.
