This category contains options that relate to simulations and simulation sets.
Simulation launch method: Leave this option as Local machine at all times, unless you plan to make use of high-performance computing concepts (ex. Cluster Launch System (CLS)).
Select IP Address : Select the IP address to be used for running simulations. If you have more than one IP address available, you may freely switch without restarting or reloading.
Component Licencing Port: Select how PSCAD will pick the port for performing component licencing (select Any Port or Custom Port).
Custom Component Licensing Port: Enter the custom port that PSCAD will listen on when performing component licensing.
Maximum Processing Concurrency: Select the number of cores that the PSCAD GUI is allowed to use to process the data coming back from the simulations (EMTDC). Each option is a ratio of the machines total core count. If custom is selected, a specific number of cores can be allocated.
Custom Processing Concurrency: Enter the specific number of cores to allocate to the PSCAD GUI to process the data coming back from a simulation (EMTDC). PSCAD will not exceed this number of cores for results processing.
