There are three data generation/entry methods available in this component:
Explicit: Explicit data should be used whenever possible. This allows the user to specify winding resistances, impedance, etc. and is basically self-explanatory. This is the recommended method for data input.
Typical: The Typical method only is provided to help users in exceptional cases where only the rating of the machine and nothing else is known. Generic values for machine parameters, based on rating (horse power), will be determined automatically. This method should be avoided if possible.
EMTP Type 40: The parameters are entered based on the steady state Torque - Slip curve.
