Saving a Project

 

Select the project you want to save, click the File tab in the ribbon control bar, click the Save menu item.

 

Select the Project

Left-Click the File Tab

Click Save

 

You can also save by simply right-clicking on the project within the workspace pane, and selecting Save from the pop-up menu.

 

 

You can also save the project by pressing Ctrl + s on your keyboard, or by right-clicking on the projects branch in the workspace pane and selecting Save All Projects....

Save Project As...

Click the File tab in the ribbon control bar, click the Save As menu item and then click Save Project As....

You can also save by right-clicking on the project within the workspace pane, and selecting Save As... from the pop-up menu.

 

 

In either case, the Save Project As dialog window will open.

 

Next, choose the file format you want to save as, from the Save as type drop list. Note that the contents of this list will depend on what was last selected when you invoked the Save Project As dialog: Either a case project or a library project.

 

To save as a PSCAD V5 case or library project, change the project file name in the File name field and then select Case (*.pscx) or Library (*.pslx) respectively.

 

Click the Save button to save the project under a different file name.  The project name should then change in the workspace window, indicating that the project was indeed renamed. Note that the project namespace is synchronized with the filename at this point (if saving a case project).

Save Project As... PSCAD v4.6 Format

Click the File tab in the ribbon control bar, click the Save As menu item and then click Save Project As (Version X4).

You can also save by right-clicking on the project within the workspace pane, and selecting Save As... from the pop-up menu.

 

 

To save as a PSCAD v4.6 case or library project, change the project file name in the File name field and then select Case (4.6) (*.pscx) or Library (4.6) (*.pslx) respectively.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please see Important Points of Note before attempting to save to PSCAD v4.6 format. There are some pitfalls to be aware of!
