Viewing the Dynamic Help Window
Generating Custom Dynamic Help for Display
The Dynamic Help Window may optionally be used to display parameter form specific content, which can include miscellaneous graphs, help or any other type of visual aid. This window is essentially a Hyper-Text Markup Language (HTML) viewer, whose contents are linked to a specific *.html file that resides in a compiled help (*.pshz) file.
Distance Relay - Apple Characteristics Component
Arrestor Component
As shown above, several of the master library components have been enhanced to provide relevant visual aid through their individual Dynamic Help Windows. The contents of the dynamic help window are fully dynamic (hence it's name). For example, any changes made to the arrestor I-V characteristic data in the parameter form, will immediately be reflected in the dynamic help window.
To view the dynamic help window, simply click the arrow button at the top of the parameter form:
Note that if no arrow button appears on the component parameter form, then the component does not include dynamic help.
Generating custom dynamic help content for your custom components is done so through the Dynamic Help Generator utility, which can be invoked by pressing the Help Generator button in the Tools tab of the ribbon control bar:
