The Additional Options components provides some miscellaneous options the manipulation of output display. That is, none of these options affect the properties of the transmission line or cable system. This component is completely optional, as all parameters set within it will assume the default quantities if the component is not included.
A convenient feature included within this component is the ability to automatically create an equivalent PI Section of any overhead line or underground cable system. Simply include this component and enable the feature. The next time the line is solved, a Component Definition (*.cmp) file is created and placed in the Project Temporary Directory (will be named after line name). The Definition may then be imported into any Library or Case Project.
Note that the component created is a purely passive RLC representation of the transmission system, based on the Steady-State Frequency and Segment Length input parameters set in the Overhead Line Configuration or Cable Configuration components.

Include Shunt R when Values Less Than: |
REAL |
Literal |
Enter a value for inclusion of shunt resistance elements in the PI Section. If any of the equivalent shunt resistances are greater than this number, they will not be included when the equivalent PI Section component is built. |
