Mutually Coupled Wires (Three Lines)

Description

This component models three wires (conductors) that are mutually coupled.  It can also be used as a zero impedance transmission line. The data required are the resistances, the self-inductances and the mutual inductance between the conductors.

NOTE:  The values entered for inductances and resistances must be realistic to ensure an error free simulation!

 Name for Identification

Text

Optional text parameter for identification of the component.

  Graphics Display

Choice

Select 3 phase view, or single line view.

Resistance/

Inductance Values

Choice

Select as individual components, as sequence components, or all zero.

Select Individual Components if the inductance and resistance values are to be entered directly.  Select Sequence Components if the inductance and resistance values are to be entered as positive-sequence and zero-sequence value. Select All Zero to model a zero impedance transmission line.

Enter Data in Real or PU Values

Choice

Select Real, or PU.

The option determines if the data for RL or sequence properties are entered as actual or per-unit values. If PU, the base quantities must be specified.
