Node Label

Description

The Node Label component may be placed only upon an electrical wire. Its express purpose is to provide a unique name for a particular electrical node, which will be both displayed on the schematic, an used as a unique identifier in the project source code. Electrical nodes that are not associated with a node label (or named by a component) are given a generic name when the project source code is constructed (ex. NT_1, NT_33, etc.). See EMTDC System Dynamics for more.

The node label also includes an optional voltmeter to measure node-to-ground voltage.

Parameters

ConfigurationConfiguration

Electrical Node Name

Text

Enter a name for the electrical node. This name will be used throughout the EMTDC System Dynamics and hence, it should conform to Fortran standards for variables (alpha-numeric name with first letter being a non-numeric).

Measure Voltage and Create Local Signal?

Choice

Select Yes or No to measure the voltage at the node defined by this component

Normalize Measured Voltage?

Choice

Select Yes or No. This input is used along with Base Voltage (L-G) for Normalizing

Voltage Signal Name

Text

Enter a name for the measured voltage signal. See Voltmeters for more details

Base Voltage (L-G) for Normalizing

REAL

Literal

Enter the base voltage for the purpose of normalizing calculations.
