Derivative with a Time Constant

Description

The derivative function determines the rate at which a signal is changing.  This block is fraught with danger because of its tendency to amplify noise.  To minimize noise interference, particularly when the derivative time constant is large and the calculation step is small, it may be necessary to add a noise filter.
