The Parameters section is used to design the primary interface between the user and the component. This is accomplished through the use of programmable dialogues know as Categories, into which users may input everything from model parameters to model conditions and appearance, and also extract output.
To enter the parameters section of a component definition, first Edit a Component or Module Definition. If the parameters section is not enabled, click on the Parameters tab as shown below:
The parameter section is a WYSIWYG environment. So what you see while you are designing the component categories, is how they will appear when invoked by the user. The parameter section for a new component will initially appear as follows, with two primary objects: The Properties Form and the WYSIWYG Display.
The properties form lists all the attributes of whichever part of the WYSIWYG display you currently have in focus. The WYSIWYG display is further subdivided into three parts: The Category Tree, the Parameter Form, and the Dynamic Help Window. Each of these parts combine to create a very powerful user interface:
