Electromagnetic Transients (EMTDC)
The tools section is used to adjust properties related to external tools:
Local python: This is the location of the Python executable file for the local python installation. All Local libraries that PSCAD uses must be available with the installation of this executable.
Trim PATH: Remove known unused paths from the PATH environment variable before compiling.
GUI mode display: Use this option to enable GUI mode for Cluster Launch System (CLS). Selecting Automatic will display GUI only if necessary.
Default path: Specifies the communication fabric dynamic link library (*.dll) file.
Protocols folder: Specifies the Communication Fabric Protocols Folder.
Configuration file: Specify the location of the XML file that contains the compiler configurations.
Save file: Specify the location of the current compiler status of the machine.
Compiler executable: Specify the location of the compiler detector executable.
Arguments: Specify any additional arguments to pass to the compiler detector.
Search Strictness: Specifies how strict to make compiler searching.
Logging: If set to true then the compiler search will log the search performed to the log file.
Log folder: Specifies the location of the compiler detector log file.
Version: Display only.
Folder: This is the root source folder for all EMTDC binaries. Sub-folder referencing is done by compiler selection.
EMTDC output file writer: Specifies the output writer for EMTDC.
Additional options: Additional command line options provided to the EMTDC simulation.
Console window: Launch build and run executables in separate windows.
Version: Display only.
Folder: Specifies the binary executable folder for the configuration medic tool. This is an optional add-on.
Version: Display only.
Path: Specifies the binary executable folder for the line constants program (LCP).
Maximum concurrent execution: Transmission line and cable segments are solved in parallel in PSCAD. Projects containing large numbers of transmission segments can stress system resources. This option controls the maximum number of transmission segments that can be solved concurrently.
