This component models a single-phase, ideal AC or DC current source.
There are two types of input control methods, Internal and External:
Internal Input: If selected, the source magnitude, frequency, phase and ramp-up time are specified through the Signal Parameters category, in the component parameters dialog..
External Input: If selected, then the icon provides an external input connection for specifying the peak current magnitude in kA.
This model is a direct representation of the EMTDC CCIN current injection.

For an AC source, enter the line-to-ground, RMS source current. For DC, enter the peak current [kA] |

Ramp Up Time |
|
REAL |
Constant |
Enter a time for the source to ramp up to 1.0 pu.
Use a minimum ramp up time of 3 times the fundamental frequency period (i.e. 0.05 s for 60 Hz and 0.06 s for 50 Hz) in most cases to reduce start-up transients [s] |
